Solid gold jewelry is waterproof and does not need to be removed before showering or swimming - however, repeated exposure to chlorine, in particular, will weaken your jewelry’s structure and may eventually lead to breaking.
Solid gold also won’t oxidize or discolor, but it is a soft and malleable material that scratches easily. We recommend you to regularly wipe your item down with a jewelry cleaning cloth to keep any signs of tarnishing at bay. To remove any visible build-up of natural oils or makeup, you can clean your item at home, using warm soapy water and a very soft brush. Store your item in a cool, dry place to protect it in between uses.
